Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG) overtook Apple in the second quarter of 2018, continues with its position as the second largest smartphone vendor by shipments. According to International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide, Huawei shipped 52.0 million handsets and grabbed 14.6% of the overall market. Huawei has registered 33 percent growth in its shipments over the same period last year and is now aiming to be the market leader in this category.
