NEW DELHI: At the invitation of the Minister of Business, Enterprise and Cooperatives of Mauritius Mr. Somilduth Bholah, the Union Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Mr Kalraj Mishra, is currently on a visit to Mauritius from 11-15 May 2017. He is accompanied by senior officials of the Ministry of MSME and the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC).
He was the Special Guest of Honour at the inauguration of the International SME Innovation and Technology Fair 2017 on 11 May 2017. 24 Indian companies from the SME sector are participating at the Fair.
Mr. Mishra called on the President of Mauritius Dr. Ameenah Gurib-Fakim and Prime Minister of Mauritius of Mauritius Mr. Pravind Kumar Jugnauth on 12 May 2017. He also met Minister Mentor and Minister of Defence and Rodrigues Sir Anerood Jugnauth and visited the National Assembly of Mauritius on 12 May 2017. During his meetings, Shri Mishra held wide-ranging discussions on India-Mauritius bilateral relations.
At the second Joint Committee Meeting on Cooperation in the field of MSME held on 12 May 2017, Mr Mishra held detailed discussions with Minister of Business, Enterprise and Cooperatives Mr. Soomilduth Bholah on the avenues for collaboration between India and Mauritius in the SME sector.
Mr. Mishra will also be meeting Minister of Gender Equality, Child Development and Family Welfare Mrs. Fazila Jeewa Daureeawoo and Minister of Education Mrs. Leela Devi Dookun-Luchoomun. He will be visiting the Mahatma Gandhi Institute and Aapravasi Ghat and gracing events being organized by the Ramayana Centre, Bhojpuri Speaking Union and Hindi Associations of Mauritius.
