The Circle: Founders Club (The Circle FC), a business accelerator for growth-stage startups recently held a successful Demo Day for the K-Startup Centre India 2024 cohort at The Circle Work in Millennium City Center, Gurugram. With the theme "Bridging Cultures, Powering Innovation – Korea & India," the event underscored the significance of cross-border partnerships and showcased ten South Korean startups across sectors including IoT, Edtech, HRTech, Sustainability, Cybersecurity and F&B eager to explore and expand into the Indian market. 

The event saw participation from over 150 participants, including startup founders, investors, and industry leaders from both countries, creating a vibrant environment for knowledge sharing, networking, and potential partnerships. The event underscored the growing strength of the India-Korea cross-border ecosystem, with The Circle FC continuing to expand its role as a trusted accelerator partner for both countries. With India emerging as a prime destination for global startups, 

The cohort showcased a variety of hi-tech startups including BANF, an AI & ML based tyre sensor to optimise safety and fuel efficiency for trucks, Dynamic Industry Corp, which has a patented solution to recycle Solar panels, and Callus Company, which provides international internships in software and management related fields across the globe.

Others included Supercoder, HRTech platform for Indian developers, UROCK Inc., Digital Forensics platform, Seoul Station, Authentic Korean cuisine in New Delhi, Turing Co, AI based maths tutoring platform and Inofriends, cybersecurity solution against counterfeit..

Nemesisa Ujjain, VP & Head of The Circle FC, highlighted the importance of such collaborations, stating, “Today's Demo Day exemplifies the power of innovation and cross-cultural collaboration between India and South Korea. At The Circle FC, we're building an ecosystem that strengthens ties, fosters growth, and propels the shared vision of global entrepreneurship” 

During the 4 month program, the startups signed over 20 MoU, went through 500+ hours of mentoring, had more than 200+ one on one meetings, and participated in 10+ top-tier conferences in India including Bengaluru Tech Summit, Agritech India, Homeland Security Expo, Tech HR India, among others. 5 of them are in the process of registering their companies and hiring local representatives

The K-Startup Centre India initiative, is designed to equip South Korean startups with critical resources, strategic insights, and connections essential for a successful entry into the Indian market. Throughout the program, The Circle FC provided these startups with valuable support, including guidance on market access, regulatory landscapes, and introductions to key stakeholders within India’s dynamic tech industry. This Demo Day marked a successful culmination of these efforts, reinforcing The Circle FC's role as a vital catalyst for supporting a thriving ecosystem where startups can grow, collaborate, and innovate on a global scale.
