SEREKO Patents NeuroCalm Skincare Technology In India

SEREKO, India’s first psychodermatology-led skincare brand, has been granted a patent for its proprietary stress recovery complex NeuroCalm®, marking a milestone in the evolution of science-backed skincare in India.

Developed after two years of research and development, NeuroCalm® is a patented psychodermatology complex designed to address stress responses in the skin. The patent grant establishes SEREKO as the first Indian skincare brand to secure intellectual property in the psychodermatology space, a field that sits at the intersection of dermatology, psychiatry, and neuroscience.

The innovation was conceptualised and led by Malvika Jain, Founder & CEO of SEREKO, in collaboration with Dr. Kriti Soni, a leading cosmetic scientist. Unlike traditional formulations that focus solely on surface-level symptoms, NeuroCalm® works by supporting the skin’s response to stress, helping reduce visible stress markers while improving overall skin health and balance.
