Schneider Electric, the leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, kicked off Innovation Summit India 2021 today. On the first day of the virtual summit, the company brought together key policymakers, industry leaders, customers and partners who shared critical insights on the role of disruptive technology to accelerate the digital transformation towards ‘building a sustainable and resilient future, with an Aatma Nirbhar Bharat’.
Welcoming the attendees, Mr. Jean-Pascal Tricoire, CEO of Schneider Electric, “The world is changing at a fast pace and digital transformation is the only path to efficiency and sustainability. Achieving efficiency by cutting carbon emissions is extremely critical to mitigating climate change. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Luc Remont, Executive Vice President, International Operations, Schneider Electric said, “We live in a world which is led by technology and data. Digitalization and electrification are the major trends shaping sustainable future.”

A CEO panel discussion-Powering an Aatmanirbhar Bharat with Digital and Sustainability had industry stalwarts deliberated on this critical topic: The panel included Mr Anil Chaudhry, CEO, Schneider Electric India Pvt. Ltd. & Zone President Greater India Zone President, Mr. Naveen Munjal, MD, Hero Electric, Mr. Naresh Trehan, MD, Medanta Hospital and Mr. RS Sodhi, MD, Amul.
Opening the session, Mr. Anil Chaudhry said, "India is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world and digital transformation would help India become a $5 trillion economy and achieve Aatmanirbhart. Digitisation is crucial in making India a manufacturing hub in order to realise the i4i and i4w dream. Furthermore, it is equally important to ensure that all our efforts are directed towards achieving growth with sustainability. At Schneider Electric, we strive to provide the right solutions to make our customers meet their energy efficiency and operations in a much more sustainable way.”
At the event, Schneider Electric reiterated its commitment to the sustainability agenda and its complete alignment with the Government of India’s long-term goal of reducing carbon emissions and creating a strong and self-reliant India.
During his keynote address on the theme ‘Marching towards a greener future and the need to unite for sustainability, Mr. Amitabh Kant highlighted the importance of leveraging AI, ML and IoT in driving sustainability. “I strongly believe that an all of industry approach that is driven by lean and clean technologies will not just allow us to champion sunrise areas of growth, leading to economic development and prosperity for all but would also make India a leader in climate change management effort. India's brand should be a brand of green, a brand of high quality and one of high reliability,” he stated.
In its second India edition, the virtual event features a 3-D Innovation Hub, showcasing the company’s rich portfolio of software, solutions and services including Schneider Electric’s next-generation EcoStruxureTM architecture and platform that delivers IoT-enabled open and interoperable solutions across user segments.
Schneider Electric customers and partners from across India and Asia Pacific region got the opportunity to hear industry experts at the summit. It featured addresses by industry stalwarts, strategy talks and deep-dive expert sessions with a diverse group of customers and partners, designed to further accelerate digital solutions, making India energy positive.
