Samsung Electronics said on Saturday that one coronavirus case had been affirmed at its cell phone plant complex in the southeastern city of Gumi, causing a shutdown of its whole office there until Monday morning.

Samsung Electronics, the world's top cell phone producer, said the floor where the infected employee worked would be closed down until the morning of February 25.

"The company has set partners who interacted with the tainted representative in self-isolate and found a way to have them tried for conceivable contamination," Samsung said in a news discharge.
