The India Blockchain Tour (IBT) 2025, an eight-city Web3 roadshow aimed at connecting global projects with Indian innovators, kickstarted its fourth edition in Hyderabad, gathering over 1000 developers, founders, investors, and policy voices for a full-day event to focus on India’s growing Web3 adoption.

Organized by Octaloop, one of India’s longest-standing crypto-native communities, the event featured a sharp mix of keynotes, panel discussions, and product insights aimed at bridging the gap between innovation and implementation.

Sessions explored blockchain’s real-world potential across AI, governance, regulation, and inclusion , positioning Hyderabad as a critical node in India’s digital asset future.

Commenting on the role of blockchain in governance, Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary for Special Projects & Investment Cell, Government of Telangana, said, “Blockchain holds immense potential to transform how governments deliver trust and transparency. In Telangana, we’ve piloted its use in critical areas such as agricultural traceability, vehicle registration, and even remote voting. Platforms like IBT create valuable opportunities for collaboration between public systems and emerging technologies, accelerating real-world adoption at scale.”

Key Sessions included:

  • India’s Web3 Policy Roadmap featuring Sukriti Govil (Emerging Tech Wing, Govt. of Telangana), Butchi Babu Burra (Punjab & Sind Bank), and Rajesh Dhuddu (PwC).

  • Web3 Security and Risk Gaps with Jayesh Ranjan.

Having secured our FIU registration, we’re now focused on community-driven engagements, product education, and strengthening our connection with Indian users. India leads in crypto adoption, but real progress will come from combining that momentum with deeper crypto literacy, something Bybit is committed to championing.”

Commenting on Web3 education and ethics, Jyotsna Hirdyani, Head of South Asia at Bitget, said, “IBT brings together voices from across the blockchain ecosystem, and it's encouraging to see such diverse participation here in Hyderabad. At Bitget, we believe in building trust through transparency, education, and ethical leadership. Our initiatives, including our partnership with UNICEF, reflect our long-term commitment to supporting Web3 growth in India in a meaningful, inclusive way.”

“Hyderabad brought the energy we were hoping for and more. The turnout, the curiosity, and the conversations reaffirmed why India is poised to lead the next wave of Web3 innovation. With our flagship event Metamorphosis around the corner, we’re just getting started.”Anupam Varshney, Founder of Octaloop, added.

Beyond sessions, attendees enjoyed alpha drops, merch giveaways, and networking over Hyderabad’s iconic biryani.
