LANXESS Showcases Fungicides Portfolio At IILF 2026 Chennai

Specialty chemicals company LANXESS, is showcasing its exclusive fungicides portfolio at the India International Leather Fair (IILF) 2026, from February 1 to 3, at the Chennai Trade Centre. Visitors will have the opportunity to interact with the LANXESS experts in Hall 2, booth no: 2-12-D.

LANXESS will introduce its latest product of the Preventol® range. The new preservative Preventol® CT 40 for leather intermediates is powered by a unique combination of electrophilic and membrane‑active profile. Its broad-spectrum efficacy and strong contribution to storage stability makes Preventol® CT 40 an ideal choice for safeguarding leather intermediates and ensuring high-quality leather products consistently. 

With Preventol® LANXESS offers effective and economical long-term preservation of leather intermediates. It provides protection against mold & fungi in leather manufacturing process. While fighting mold, the membrane active biocides are not degraded but released unchanged, so they can repeat their defense work over and over again – a truly regenerative biocide ensuring long-term protection.

Unlike other systems, most Preventol® products contain more than one active substance and function ensuring that both modes of action are combined in one product. This leads to a broader spectrum of efficacy and additional safety for tanneries.

A further benefit of these active substances, unlike electrophilic active substances which protect mainly the surface, is their ability to penetrate the cross-section of a hide. That gives an extra protection even after splitting the leather intermediates: otherwise, new surfaces emerging from splitting would immediately be at risk.
