International Council for School Leadership (ICSL) Launches Friday@5 for Academician Interactions
ICSL (International Council for School Leadership) – India’s fastest growing community of school leaders has launched Friday@5 – a weekly webinar dialogue series between the educators and experts. This one-hour session is focused on inspiring, enriching, and empowering school leaders to rebuild India as a global superpower in education.
Friday@5 series are being held with a special focus on challenges and problems engulfing school education so that school leaders, teachers and educators understand and try convert problems into opportunities. A successful deployment of these education convos in the initial phase has already begun and have seen close to 1000+ educators registering every week for it across India.
Each conversation (or convo) of Friday@5 is for 60 minutes duration and has two parts: 1) The Experts Panel of 40 minutes where 3-4 experts will provide their insights on a specific topic and the challenges and opportunities and concern thereof. The experts will include practitioners, policymakers, researchers & eminent speakers. 2) The Open Mic of 20 minutes where 10-15 participants share their thoughts on the issue with the audience.
At the core of Friday@5 is the belief that real conversation happens only when diverse thoughts and divergent views are shared amongst all stakeholders.
Speaking on this initiative by ICSL Dr. Atul Nischal Founder – Director, ICSL said “At ICSL, our vision is to inspire, enrich, and empower school leaders to rebuild India as a global superpower in education. Technology is the future and is more sustainable and scalable. Hence, we thought of having a virtual/online platform for discussions, trainings etc. Through the Friday@5 convo series, we hope to help school leaders and teachers understand the nuances of NEP 2020 and its effective implementation.”
Friday@5 is a non-paid platform where teachers can participate and voice their concerns, views, or queries on specific issues and listen to the insightful views of domain experts.
