Industry Issues Related to Solar are on Priority in UP: Energy & Additional Energy Sources Minister Shrikant Sharma

After visiting the Exhibition Shri Shrikant Sharma, Minister Energy & Additional Energy Sources in his inaugural address said that I am aware of many problems of the people related to Energy and Additional Sources of Energy Sector on which I am working continuously for the past three years.

Three days Solar & E-Vehicle Exhibition being organized by Indian Industries Association (IIA), UPNEDA & UPSRTC was inaugurated by Shri Shrikant Sharma, Energy & Additional Energy Sources Minister GoUP at IIA Bhawan, Ground Vibhuti Khand Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. Today more than 70 reputed Solar & E-Vehicle Companies from all over India have exhibited their products in this exhibition which are of great attraction for Industry, Businessman, Common persons as well as Professionals. Large Number of people thronged the Exhibition on its first day today. The number of visitors is expected to increase many folds on 15th & 16th Feb. being holidays due to Saturday & Sunday. 

After visiting the Exhibition Shri Shrikant Sharma, Minister Energy & Additional Energy Sources in his inaugural address said that I am aware of many problems of the people related to Energy and Additional Sources of Energy Sector on which I am working continuously for the past three years. Some of the problems/issues has been resolved however few other are yet to be resolved like the issue of net metering for Industry, Institutions & Commercial establishment. We are discussing this issue seriously in the govt. and some solution will be fond out in near future. We have to meet the Solar Energy Generation target of 10700 Megawatt in the State, therefore it is the priority of the Govt. to resolved all problems/issues which are putting hurdles in meeting this target.  Shri Sharma further said that I am accessible on Twitter/Facebook & E-mails & always try to respond. As for as the complaints of corruption are concerned, I would need the cooperation of the Public & businessmen. If you Cooperate and do not offer anything I assure you that I will irradieate the corruption form the department. I am trying to make all the system transparent in the department and have devote full time in my office from 10AM to 6PM every day whenever I am not in field visit.. Shri Sharma informed that during next few days he will be visiting all commissionaires in the state where he will interact the people to listen to their suggestion & problems. He offered national president IIA to inform IIA members to meet him during these meetings at Commissionaires Head Quarters. 

Before the inaugural address of Shri Shrikant Sharma, National President IIA Shri Pankaj Kumar in his address said that for promoting the use of Solar Energy and to meet the target, it is important that net metering system should be restored for Industry, Institutions & Commercial establishments in the State. In IIA we fore before see huge potential for Solar & E-Vehical Sector for MSMEs to setup their ventures. Keeping this in view we are organizing solar & E-Vehicle Expo. In our efforts UPNEDA, UPSRTC & MNRE Govt. of India are supporting whole heartly. Electric Vehicle Sector is in its primitive stage at present and many IIA Members have already entered into this Sector. These members are providing their suggestion to IIA  for the development of this sector from time to time. Shortly we will constitute an expert group and working committee on E-Vehicle Sector in IIA which will provide useful suggestions and feedback to the Govt. for the development of E-Vehicle Sector.

The Inaugural Function was moderated by General Secretary IIA Shri Manmohan Agarwal  Welcome as well as vote of thanks was delivered by Shri Tariq Hasan Naqvi Chairman Solar Energy Committee IIA.  

Along with the Exhibition a National Seminar on “E-Vehicle, Battery Technology & Charging Station” was organized from 10AM to 5PM which was attended by more than 200 delegates. The Seminar was Inaugurated by Dr. Raj Shekhar MD UPSRTC and the expert speakers were Shri Praveen Kumar Sood, Chairman Regment Energy Solutions Delhi, Dr. Prakash Barjatia India Society of Lighting Engineers, Dr. Kuldeep Singh Kakran, Sr. Scientist CECRI, Ansul Kumar Sharma Vice President Log 9 Material, Banglore. Prof. Usha Bajpai & Dr. Devraj Singh Vice President Technical, Electronic Sector Skill Council of India.
