Google Cloud and the University of Delhi (DU), one of India's most esteemed public universities, today announced a multi-year collaboration aimed at equipping students with cutting-edge skills in artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analytics and digital literacy. This collaboration is set to redefine the future of higher education in India.

This collaboration between both entities is designed to equip students with critical skills for the future. This will provide access to educational resources, mentorship, and industry insights to improve learning. Students can gain expertise in industry leading courses through a specialized curriculum.

The program also offers hands-on labs, assessments, and certifications in industry leading courses. Students will also benefit from in-campus hackathons and webinars, with opportunities to earn Google Cloud certificates.

Furthermore, the collaboration aims to foster innovation by providing incubation support for student startups. This includes technical help and the potential to receive cloud credits. The university will also integrate Google Workspace for Education to enhance the learning experience. This initiative seeks to prepare students for careers in technology by providing industry-recognized training and skills.

These combined efforts are designed to significantly enhance career readiness, foster entrepreneurial thinking, and ignite innovation across DU’s vibrant campuses.

Prof. Sanjeev Singh, Dean, Faculty of Technology at Delhi University said, “Students will gain access to Google Cloud’s NotebookLM, a personal study assistant, which will assist them in navigating complex coursework, extracting meaningful insights, and deepening their understanding by grounding responses in their own notes and research material. Beyond academics, Google Cloud ecosystem will foster innovation by supporting student-led national level hackathons and providing mentorship for early-stage startups emerging from the university's dynamic student community. The University of Delhi will integrate these initiatives into its academic framework through faculty training, campus-wide outreach, internships, training and credit-based learning pathways.” 

As a Knowledge Partner, Google Cloud will provide mentorship programs and industry insights, support curriculum development in emerging fields, and offer training pathways for industry-recognized skill badges and certifications in AI, cybersecurity, data analytics, and GenAI. The collaboration also includes AI-led faculty development programs, campus-wide hackathons, webinars, promotion of Google Workspace, and technical support and cloud credits for student startups.
