The Goa Pavilion at the 28th Edition of the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025 wrapped up successfully, drawing interest from visitors, industry leaders and international delegates over the three-day event at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). More than 500 attendees visited the pavilion set up by the Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications (DITE&C), Government of Goa, engaging with the State’s digital initiatives, technology projects and startup ecosystem. The officials represented Goa were Dr. Milind Sakhardande, Joint Director, DITE&C; Shri. Subrai Nadkarni, Chief Engineer, GITDC; Shri. Siddharth Borker, Deputy Director, DITE&C; Shri. Gaurabh Sawal, Assistant Director, DITE&C; and Shri. D. S. Prashant, CEO of the Startup and IT Promotion Cell.

Global Participation

The pavilion saw active participation from international representatives, including delegates from the UK, Russia, Denmark, Canada and Sweden. A notable visit came from Mr. Joel Stafford, Consulate General of Denmark in Bangalore, whose interaction with the Department added to the global engagement as he explored Goa’s digital programmes, infrastructure strengths and expanding innovation landscape.
The stall also captured the attention of global industry leaders exploring Goa as a potential base for future expansion. Nicolas Wojnarowski, Director of Innovation and Business Development Europe and Americas at NineSigma shared, “We operate in different cities in India, such as Bengaluru and Chennai, but Goa could become a hub for expanding our activities. We are developing large co-operations in science and technology, and we believe Goa could be the best place to move forward.”
Alongside international participation, the pavilion welcomed national industry bodies, academia and ecosystem enablers, including representatives from TiE Bangalore, KLE, ELCIA and IDFC, who interacted with the delegation and explored collaboration opportunities. Sharing her impressions, Ms. Rama N. S., CEO of ELCITA (Electronics City Industrial Township Authority), Advisor to the Electronics City Industries Association (ELCIA) and former Vice President - Development Center Head at Infosys, remarked, “I had the privilege of meeting the team from Goa in April this year, and they had very high aspirations for developing Goa as an electronic city, focused on growth, not just leisure. Seeing the stall here today, I can say they have taken real action and not just spoken about it.”

Goa’s Emerging Startup Ecosystem

The Goa pavilion also received interest from several other states, with visitors exploring the state’s approach to digital connectivity, governance processes, industrial projects and its positioning as a creative and technology-friendly environment. While the pavilion welcomed visitors of all ages, it was the youth who engaged most actively, reflecting the strong appeal of Goa’s emerging tech and startup ecosystem among young innovators.
Founders and investors visiting the pavilion expressed interest in exploring Goa as a base for growth. Startups from Goa, including Spintly and Genora Infotech, showcased their products and engaged with visitors throughout the summit. Sharing his thoughts, Malcolm D’Souza, Co-founder and CTO of Spintly, said, “I am happy to represent Goa here, and it’s a great initiative by the Goa Government to have a booth at this event. Platforms like this expose us to the world, and it shows that Goa is not only about tourism, there is a vibrant tech ecosystem here.” Echoing this perspective, Milind Prabhu, CEO at Genora Infotech, added, “It was great to see initiatives from the Dept of ITE&C and the Startup & IT Promotion Cell showcased at the Bangalore Tech Summit. I was also fortunate to represent the state with our recent political campaign management platform, VoxIntel.”
As the summit concludes, the Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications carries forward new connections and collaborations that strengthen Goa’s position as India’s Creative Capital and a rising hub for technology and innovation.
