DATOMS, an industrial IoT platform for enterprises and OEMs, has announced that raised a Series A funding round of ₹25 crore, about USD 2.76 million, led by Vietnam-based investment firm Big Capital JSC.
The round also includes participation from Indian venture capital firm IvyCap Ventures and a follow-on investment from YourNest Venture Capital as the company expands its enterprise platform across asset-intensive industries.
DATOMS had earlier raised ₹3.5 crore in a pre-Series A round last summer with participation from Operators Studio and APT Research. Ridik Capital, Warmup Ventures, and BeyondSeed are among existing investors that backed the company in previous rounds.
DATOMS provides a unified intelligence layer that turns physical machines into connected and trackable assets across their full lifecycle. The platform allows enterprises and OEMs to connect machines, monitor performance in real time, predict failures, improve energy use, and manage service operations across stakeholders.
The company addresses a key challenge in industrial operations where machine data remains scattered across OEMs, enterprises, service partners, dealers, and financiers. This fragmentation forces organisations to operate reactively and limits visibility into overall machine performance and lifecycle outcomes.
The new funding will be used to strengthen product and technology, expand into new markets, and build teams across engineering, data science, operations, and enterprise sales. The company will also enhance its AI and analytics capabilities, improve automation features, and accelerate development of predictive maintenance, performance optimisation, and energy management solutions.
“We believe the next decade belongs to intelligent machines. This funding accelerates our mission to transform industrial assets into connected, self-aware systems that deliver measurable business outcomes. This investment validates our vision of turning connected machines into intelligent economic participants,” said Amiya Samantaray, Founder and CEO.
Founded in 2021 by NIT Rourkela alumnus Amiya Samantaray, Asish Sahoo, Nataraj Sahoo, and Amrit Biswal, DATOMS operates across industrial IoT, energy technology, and enterprise software with a focus on improving performance in asset-heavy businesses.
DATOMS operates at the intersection of Industrial IoT, Energy Technology, and Enterprise SaaS, targeting the global industrial digitalization and connected machines market valued at $18 billion.
Vikram Gupta, Founder & Managing Partner, IvyCap Ventures said, “We are pleased to support DATOMS as it scales its Industrial IoT and AI-driven platform for asset-intensive industries. The team has shown strong execution in building solutions that enhance efficiency, optimize performance, and unlock measurable value. We look forward to partnering with them as they expand their capabilities and market presence.”
DATOMS’ platform is used in quick commerce dark stores, logistics warehouses, healthcare environments like MRI and CT scan rooms, and supports industrial plants, commercial facilities, and infrastructure operators in sectors such as cement, steel, mining, and manufacturing. It helps reduce downtime, lower energy use, and improve efficiency. The company partners with OEMs to integrate its platform into machines, enabling monitoring throughout the asset lifecycle.
To this Girish Shivani, Executive Director and Fund Manager at YourNest Venture Capital added, "We believe the next decade will be defined by how effectively organizations harness their data. DATOMS is building critical infrastructure at the intersection of data and AI, enabling enterprises to unlock measurable value from complex data ecosystems. The market tailwinds are strong, and DATOMS has demonstrated both product-market fit and execution capability. We look forward to supporting their ambitious roadmap.”
Over the past year, the company more than doubled revenue as enterprise customers expanded usage. DATOMS now monitors over 25,000 machines and aims for 1 lakh within a year, marking a shift to repeatable enterprise deployments. In three years, DATOMS plans to grow with existing clients, enter new industries, enhance AI prediction, scale in India, and expand internationally, building a leading operational intelligence platform for connected machines.
With offices in Bhubaneswar and Bengaluru, DATOMS works with more than 100 customers globally.
