Datacultr Selected by Startupbootcamp Fintech, Dubai for its 2020 cohort

The accelerator program launched its first cohort in 2018 and it is backed by UAE’s FinTech leaders, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), HSBC, Visa and Mashreq Bank.

Datacultr, a leading Platform-as-a-Service Player, recently announced that it has been selected for the second cohort of Startupbootcamp Fintech, Dubai.

The accelerator program launched its first cohort in 2018 and it is backed by UAE’s FinTech leaders, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), HSBC, Visa and Mashreq Bank.

Datacultr, along with other 9 startups was selected out of more than 450 startups and after undergoing an extensive 4 months recruitment process.

Startupbootcamp FinTech Dubai selected startups for their second cohort based on business potential as well as innovation introduced. The new cohort features startups from different parts of the world such as the UAE, Singapore, USA, India, Finland, Egypt, Uzbekistan, South Africa, Kazakhstan, and Lebanon.

“We are very proud of the success of our first cohort and excited to announce that for our second cohort, we attracted some of the world’s most prominent FinTech startups in the fields of payments, lending, Islamic digital banking, employer gratuity management and others,” said Khaled Lababidi, Managing Director of Startupbootcamp FinTech Dubai. “The 10 teams will go through an intensive three-month acceleration program, in the heart of the DIFC and will work with top-notch mentors and corporate partners to secure proofs-of-concept to validate their business models.”

Datacultr is all set to participate in the three-month extensive FinTech program starting this month and culminating with Demo Day, where they will pitch their projects to the region's top investors for an opportunity to raise funds and sign pilot collaboration projects.

The programme extends a huge ground of opportunities to all 10 start-ups which includes new client acquisitions, business expansion, strategic-tie-ups and associations etc.

In partnership with Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Visa and HSBC, Startupbootcamp will accelerate 40 startups working in a range of fields impacting financial services innovation.
