Finance Ministry Found GST & Agriculture Output Influenced Fiscal Deficit by 0.1 %

The minor deviation of 0.1 percentage points was necessary due to the transitional impact of GST and the agricultural situation in the country. Against the revised target, the actual fiscal deficit for 2018-19 was Rs 6,45,367 crore (prov.), which works out to 3.4 per cent of GDP, the statement on trends in receipts and expenditure said.
