The Vascular Surgeons Association of Karnataka (VASKAR) organized the Walkathon 2025 in Bengaluru under the inspiring theme “Amputation-Free India.” Over 500 doctors, vascular specialists, and paramedical professionals came together at Freedom Park, walking to Vidhana Soudha to raise awareness on preventing avoidable amputations through early diagnosis and vascular care.
The event was graced by Shri Seemanth Kumar Singh, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru City, as the Chief Guest, who lauded the efforts of medical professionals working to protect lives and limbs. The Walkathon drew wide attention from the medical fraternity and public alike, symbolizing unity and commitment towards vascular health and prevention of limb loss caused by diabetes, peripheral arterial disease, and delayed medical care.
