Waayu, India’s first zero-commission food delivery platform, has launched Restaurant Mandi, a zero-commission supplier marketplace app. This new app enables restaurants to source ingredients, equipment, and services at transparent prices, helping them digitise procurement and manage rising operational costs.
Restaurant Mandi brings together more than 80 supplier categories, covering groceries, raw materials, equipment, and essential services, all accessible through the Restaurant Mandi app. Built on a 0% commission model, the marketplace enables restaurants to source supplies without hidden fees, helping them retain better control over margins, while vendors and suppliers gain access to 1L+ verified buyers without paying heavy platform commissions.
The launch addresses persistent industry challenges such as dependence on limited suppliers, price volatility, stock shortages, and inefficient manual ordering processes.
Commenting on the launch, Anirudha Kotgire, Managing Director and Co-founder of Waayu, said, “Restaurants today are under immense pressure from rising costs and limited pricing control. With Restaurant Mandi, our aim is to offer a transparent, commission-free sourcing platform that eliminates hidden charges and reduces reliance on unreliable vendors.”
Moreover, Waayu’s internal analysis indicates that transparent sourcing can significantly lower operating costs, including expenses related to raw materials, maintenance services, and marketing exposure. By integrating ingredients, equipment, and services on a single zero-commission platform, Restaurant Mandi simplifies vendor management, saves time, and improves overall operational efficiency for restaurant owners.
