Union Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao Addresses 20th Karnataka CA Conference

You are true partners in nation-building,” said Shri Dinesh Gundu Rao, Hon’ble Minister for Health and Family Welfare and In-Charge Minister of Dakshina Kannada District, Government of Karnataka, while addressing the gathering at the 20th Karnataka State Level Chartered Accountants’ Conference held at the Palace Grounds, Bengaluru.

Highlighting the contribution of Chartered Accountants, the Minister remarked, “CAs form the backbone of India’s financial strength, upholding fiscal discipline, transparency, and ethical standards that have earned our nation global respect.” He also stressed the importance of healthy practices to prevent lifestyle diseases despite the country’s progress in healthcare. “Healthy professionals are not just an asset to their families but also to the nation. I urge you to lead by example in this regard,” he added, while congratulating the Bengaluru Branch of SIRC of ICAI for organizing the conference.

On the second day, His Holiness Sri Gavishiddeshwar Mahaswamiji of Gavimath, Koppal, delivered a spiritual discourse on the essence of human life, inspiring the participants.

The conference featured eminent speakers, including Maharshi Prashanth Kumar, Vice President, Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, Bengaluru, who addressed topics on searches under the Income Tax Act, data privacy, GST challenges, and legislative auditing excellence. Other distinguished speakers, such as CA Sachin Kumar B.P., CA Prashanth G.S., Dr. Kotrashwami Maregowdra (IRS), Shri Manoj Bang (Registrar of Companies, Karnataka), and CA Kamal Garg (New Delhi) shared their expertise, captivating the audience.

The two-day knowledge conclave witnessed the participation of over 2,000 Chartered Accountants. The event was graced by CA Charanjot Singh Nanda, President, ICAI; CA Prasanna Kumar, Vice President, ICAI; CA Manjunath M. Hallur, Chairman, Bengaluru Branch of SIRC of ICAI, along with several other dignitaries.
