It is the need of the hour to train the workforce in telecom and TSSC is an important player in this because about 8.5% of the country’s GPD is accounted to this sector alone. India is a hub for skilled talent workforce and providing for workforce in Indian as well as global IT companies. This partnership with Britco & Bridco will help to make a robust ecosystem of trained handset repairers and related services.”.
The current curriculum of Britco & Bridco contains National & International Industry experience with Sales and Marketing Skills, Administration & Customer Management Skills, Finance Management Skills, and Entrepreneurial skill after institutional training. This curriculum will be NSQF aligned by TSSC and will assure a global entrepreneurship program for every aspirant in mobile phone technology Industry and grab the employment and entrepreneurship opportunity around the world. This is the mission targeted through this tie up.
As per the Deloitte’s 2022 TMT Predictions for India, India recorded 1.2 billion mobile subscribers in 2021; of which, about 750 million were smartphone users. Considering one service engineer can facilitate 3000 devices annually, we would need 4-5 lakh service engineers alone to maintain the current volume of devices. Candidates from India can tap into this global job demand if they obtain the necessary technical & entrepreneurial skills. As official training partners of TSSC, Britco & Bridco has already trained several candidates who have secured well-paying jobs in the MEA region. A candidate who has completed the training as per NSQF standard can attain the certification for service engineer after passing the qualification test.
“Every part of our lives is dependent on mobile phones and it is imperative that we provide skill-based trainings to the youth. There remains a huge gap between the acquired and the required skillsets and the government has also promptly emphasized on this. I believe we can compete with our neighboring countries in the next 3-5 years to become a global hub for talent workforce.” commented Mr. Muthu Kozhichena, MD, Britco & Bridco.
TSSC CEO Arvind Bali, Britco & Bridco Managing Director Muthu Kozhichena, Britco & Bridco Executive Director Unnikrishnan Kinanoor, IMPT New Delhi Managing Director VPA Kutty were present in the meeting among others.
