The LaLiT Suri Hospitality Group has been recognised among the Top 10 Employers in the India Workplace Equality Index (IWEI) 2025—India’s foremost benchmarking tool for LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion. This honour reaffirms the Group’s longstanding commitment to nurturing a workplace where people from all walks of life feel seen, respected, and celebrated.
Inclusion has always been at the heart of The LaLiT Suri Hospitality Group’s philosophy. Long before the industry began formally embracing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, the Group established itself as a pioneer by hiring individuals from diverse communities, creating robust Employee Resource Groups, and instituting sensitisation workshops across its properties to build awareness, empathy, and meaningful allyship. Its iconic nightlife brand Kitty Su has played a pivotal role in mainstreaming drag artistry and queer expression, giving performers a national platform and reshaping cultural conversations around representation. Through its ongoing community engagement and purpose-driven work with The Keshav Suri Foundation, the Group continues to champion dignity, equal opportunity, and social impact across the hospitality ecosystem.
Developed by The Keshav Suri Foundation, Pride Circle, and Stonewall UK, the IWEI benchmark evaluates organisations on their policies, practices, culture, and community engagement. With 120 companies from 25 sectors participating this year, the recognition places The LaLiT among India’s most progressive and inclusive employers—those who have successfully embedded LGBTQ+ inclusion into organisational DNA, not as an initiative but as a way of life.
Reflecting on the achievement, Akshay Tyagi, DGM- Talent Management, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, The LaLiT Suri Hospitality Group, said: “This recognition is deeply meaningful because it reflects who we are at our core. At The LaLiT, inclusion is not a project or a programme; it is our everyday practice. We believe that when people are free to bring their whole selves to work, they create extraordinary experiences, both for each other and for our guests.”
