Stratefix Consulting, a management consulting firm, has begun an Operational Excellence project with Pratham Fabrics, a subsidiary of Gayatri Group, to enhance its weaving and production operations. Pratham Fabrics, established in 2004, is a Surat-based manufacturer of exclusive Banarasi weaving sarees, with over two decades of expertise in niche weaving manufacturing.
The mandate assigned to Stratefix covers end-to-end operational restructuring, including strengthening production planning, building accurate inventory control, ERP Implementation, improving workforce management, and establishing clear review and coordination mechanisms across the organisation. The company aims to streamline long-standing challenges such as delayed deliveries, weak yarn inventory control, non-standardised processes, and middle-management gaps that have been affecting efficiency and customer experience.
Speaking about the collaboration, Ms Dimple Jaichandani, Partner at Stratefix Consulting, said, “Pratham Fabrics is working towards strengthening its operational systems for the next stage of growth. Our role focuses on building structured processes that support accurate inventory, smoother production planning, and better coordination across teams. This mandate is aligned with enabling the organisation to scale through reliable, system-driven operations.”
The project is being executed in phases, beginning with stabilising production planning, creating accurate inventory systems, and strengthening team coordination. The next phase focuses on improving mid-level execution, enabling data-driven decision-making, and reducing paperwork through structured processes. These changes will support Pratham Fabrics’ larger plans of capacity expansion, machinery upgrades, new product development, and entry into new markets over the next few years.
Mr Sanjay Borad, Director of Pratham Fabrics, commented, “We initiated this project because we wanted to resolve issues that were affecting our delivery timelines, inventory accuracy, and internal coordination. We are also preparing for expansion in product range, capacity and new markets. Stratefix is helping us build systems that support efficiency, reduce errors and improve execution. These improvements will play a key role in strengthening our long-term vision for growth in the niche Banarasi weaving segment.”
The mandate also focuses on supporting the company’s ambition to strengthen its position in top-dyed saree manufacturing by enhancing in-house design development and fabric innovation. Stratefix will work closely with leadership and teams to implement operational dashboards, review systems, and structured planning methods that can be independently managed by the internal team.
With this engagement, Stratefix Consulting continues to support businesses across sectors in building operational systems that help them scale effectively, strengthen internal structures and move towards long-term sustainable growth.
