AVPL International’s subsidiary, SPH Aviation Pvt. Ltd., has announced a strategic partnership with GDX Security Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., a ₹2000 crore leader in the security sector. Through a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the two companies aim to revolutionize aviation security by integrating cutting-edge drone technology into industry operations, enhancing safety protocols, and establishing a talent pipeline through comprehensive drone training programs.

This collaboration marks a significant milestone in aviation security, addressing the demand for advanced drone applications and skilled operators in the industry. The partnership aims to drive innovations in security and operational efficiency by establishing Remote Pilot Training Organizations (RPTOs), launching Drone-as-a-Service (DaaS) solutions, and undertaking customized research and development projects. Together, SPH Aviation and GDX Security are setting the stage for substantial growth in skill development, job creation, and technological advancements within India’s burgeoning drone and security industries.

Key Components of the MoU:

  1. Drone Security Officer Training and Certification:
    SPH Aviation will lead a program to train GDX Security personnel as certified Drone Pilots in accordance with DGCA guidelines, equipping them with the skills needed for advanced drone operations across various security scenarios.

  2. Establishment of a Remote Pilot Training Organization (RPTO):
    SPH Aviation will assist GDX Security in establishing an RPTO by handling necessary documentation, coordinating with regulatory authorities, and securing approvals. This initiative will help standardize drone pilot training, elevating the quality of talent and enhancing technical competencies across the sector.

  3. Joint Research and Development (R&D) Projects:
    The partnership also includes a focus on research and development, where SPH Aviation will work closely with GDX to develop custom drone solutions tailored to specific security needs. All R&D initiatives will proceed only with GDX’s written consent, ensuring alignment with industry standards and operational requirements.

  4. Revenue Sharing and Intellectual Property Rights:
    The MoU outlines a revenue-sharing framework for joint projects, while both companies will retain ownership of their respective intellectual property rights. This mutually beneficial arrangement aims to safeguard proprietary technology while fostering growth for both parties.
