SHRM India is proud to announce their partnership with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) for a pioneering ‘HR Leadership Council Connect’. The exclusive initiative is aimed at enhancing India’s skilling ecosystem by connecting with senior HR leaders to share insights, and best practices in the skilling spaceThe initial rounds of meetings are scheduled for September 27th through direct engagement with HR leaders to understand workforce planning, minimize skill redundancy, and strategize for the creation of a future-ready workforce.

Recognising the critical need for skilling, reskilling and upskilling in response to technological advancements and ever-evolving job markets, NSDC’s objective is to focus on future skills, critical skills, and international opportunities under the prestigious CHROs’ (Council for HR Leaders), initiative. Exploring potential Industry collaborations, including partnerships between organizations to promote skill development and apprenticeships, the ‘CHRO Council’ will be attended by senior HR leaders & industry experts. The key agenda for the cluster meeting includes Industry Engagement, Value Chain Mapping, Skill Redundancy and Redeployment, and creating a Future-Ready Workforce.

This platform is designed for collective learning for participants from various sectors including IT & Software, Telecom, Electronics, Capital Goods, Energy, Automobile and others; through keynote presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and networking sessions that are planned in this connection. Marking a major step forward in aligning HR practices with national priorities, the deliberations and recommendations by the ‘CHRO Council’ will provide insights to NSDC to strategize better and execute their initiatives on National Skill Development.
