Informa Markets in India, the country’s leading organiser of B2B exhibitions, has announced the 17th edition of Paperex, the world’s largest exhibition and conference dedicated to the pulp, paper, packaging, and allied sectors. Scheduled from 3–6 December 2025 at Yashobhoomi (IICC), Dwarka, New Delhi, the four-day gathering will bring global leaders together to highlight innovation, sustainability, and the future of business in the paper value chain.

Celebrating a legacy of over 30 years, Paperex 2025 will host 700+ exhibitors from more than 25 countries and expects to attract over 33,000 trade visitors, including manufacturers, converters, traders, machinery providers, and technology innovators. Organised by Informa Markets in India in collaboration with the Indian Agro & Recycled Paper Mills Association (IARPMA) and supported by the World Paper Forum, Paperex continues to serve as the world’s foremost meeting point for the paper and allied industries.

The exhibition will present a comprehensive display of solutions spanning raw materials, advanced manufacturing equipment, finished products, and waste management systems. Its visitor base—ranging from paper and packaging producers to printers, raw material suppliers, policymakers, and international buyers creates a vibrant platform for trade, networking, and technological discovery.

Industry Overview

The global pulp and paper sector, valued at USD 357 billion in 2023, is projected to reach USD 391 billion by 2032. India, the world’s fastest-growing paper market, is set to expand at a 13.4% CAGR, reaching USD 35.5 billion by 2030, fuelled by rising education needs, packaging consumption, and retail growth. With 526 operational mills and per-capita usage at 15 kg, significantly lower than the global average of 57 kg, the scope for expansion remains substantial.

India’s paper packaging segment reached ₹1,67,110 crore (USD 19.07 billion) as of August 2025 and is growing at a robust 19.48% CAGR, projected to rise to ₹4,06,866 crore (USD 46.43 billion) by 2030. A defining strength of India’s paper industry is its sustainable raw-material base: 74–76% of production in 2024–25 came from recovered paper and recycled fibre, 18–20% from wood and bamboo, and 6–8% from agro residues such as bagasse and wheat straw. This transition supports the country’s expanding green packaging market, expected to grow at a 7.24% CAGR between 2023 and 2028.

Aligned with this growth trajectory, Paperex 2025 will turn the spotlight on cutting-edge solutions in paper manufacturing, sustainable packaging, recycling technologies, and digital transformation—critical elements for transitioning toward a low-carbon, circular paper economy. Exhibits will include next-generation production machinery, automation and Industry 4.0 tools, sustainable processes, recycled fibre solutions, smart packaging technologies, barrier materials, and IoT-enabled digital systems.

Mr. Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, Informa Markets in India, said, "Paperex 2025 goes beyond paper and is about progress. As the World's Largest Paper Show, we're showcasing India's transformation into a USD 16.64 billion market by 2028—the 15th largest globally and fastest-growing. While the pulp and paper industry contributes nearly 2% of industrial greenhouse gas emissions, making sustainability a mandate, our industry leads in circular economy practices, recycling 68% of materials—one of the highest rates among all industries. Digitalization alone could save USD 20 billion by next year, improving productivity while lowering energy and water use. Paperex 2025 showcases these breakthrough technologies, from sustainable forestry that creates more trees to carbon-neutral production. Over the years, Paperex has evolved into a powerful global exchange where technology, sustainability, and collaboration print the next chapter of responsible growth for the paper and packaging industry."

Innovation, Insight, and Industry Leadership

A major feature of the event will be the conference themed “Sustainable Growth of Paper, Paper Packaging & Allied Industries in the Changing Global Scenario,” curated by IARPMA. Sessions will explore sustainable manufacturing, circular economy approaches, automation, and digitalisation. Complementing this will be seminars and business meets by the World Paper Forum, centred on Paper Printing, Packaging, and Converting, offering international perspectives on trade, efficiency, and innovation.

Leading industry players including JK Paper, TNPL, Trident Group, BILT Graphic Paper, APRIL Fiber Resource, Andhra Paper, Orient Paper, and West Coast Paper will participate, representing the complete spectrum of paper production and conversion.

Paperex has grown into a globally recognised institution known for driving innovation, investment, circular economy and collaboration. For participants, it delivers value across four essential pillars: brand visibility, business networking, lead generation, and knowledge exchange. Paperex 2025 further strengthens India’s position in paper and packaging innovation and invites the global community to engage with the technologies and ideas shaping a more sustainable future for the industry.
