Mulyam, a ground-breaking agriculture supply chain transformation platform, has delivered 12,000 metric tons of onions across India in the past 10 months. This achievement underscores Mulyam's rapid growth and its role in empowering farmers and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) nationwide.
Established in 2023, Mulyam is emerging as one of India's leading platforms for fresh commodities. A bootstrapped start-up, Mulyam has clocked a revenue of Rs 75 crore with a positive EBITDA since its inception in April 2023 and aims to reach Rs 120 crore for FY24-25. Building a robust and comprehensive B2B marketplace, the agritech startup has set a target of connecting with 150,000 farmers by the end of FY2025 with a team of 40+ professionals.
With a network of 3000 farmers from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and West Bengal, Mulyam has procured and delivered over 22,000 metric tons of vegetables and fruits, including onions, potatoes, tomatoes, lemon, garlic, ginger, apples, and oranges, to quick commerce companies, modern traders, HoReCa, and institutional firms.
Mulyam differentiates itself by leveraging technology to provide comprehensive support to farmers, offering an improved way to supply their goods and collaborating closely with farmers and FPOs to optimize the agricultural supply chain. Through the use of internet-based technology, robust sourcing strategies, and a dedicated team of professionals, Mulyam is driving rapid growth with an unwavering focus on delivering faster, superior, and high-quality fresh produce.
Commenting on this remarkable growth within one year of its operations, Yogesh Kedari, Founder and CEO of Mulyam, said, “We believe that the biggest challenge for horticulture in India is market linkage. We or any other agritech company working in perishables, can help farmers with a lot of backend support, such as advisory on production, procurement of inputs like pesticides and fertilizers, procurement of planting materials, weather prediction, mechanization of work, and more. While we help them increase their yield, the real value lies in market linkage. Mulyam is committed to build solid market linkage platform for all farmers irrespective of their farm size, supporting farmers with market linkage through technology and innovation. Our primary goal is to help farmers sell their produce in the same ecosystem removing the middlemen’s and supporting them with data for trade, allowing them to earn better margins and take advantage of geographical price arbitrage.”
