Startups often face problems from day one particularly related to raising finance, managing cash flows, human resource challenges, sales & marketing and even related to other issues such as registering patent etc. Startups often are less aware of necessary compliance.

Vijay Kumar, Director, MSME-DI New Delhi host of the event said, "We are happy to support the initiative of India Entrepreneurs Club under the ‘Industrial Motivational Program’ running presently by DC MSME office. For entrepreneurs, turning a passion into a business is the ultimate dream. But that dream doesn’t come easily. It’s hard work, and there are challenges around every corner. Their chance of success increases with access to the business knowledge and guidance of experienced professional mentors. We are happy to have supported the initiative by IEC and the turn out of both, startups as well as mentors, was overwhelming and shows there is dire need of the same. The event also provided us the opportunity to create awareness about various MSME scheme especially related to startup funding and marketing support."

Sanjay Nagi, Managing Director Market Insight and one of the mentors at the event said, "A business DNA can be improved with the help of a mentor. Startups often need help with business planning, market strategy, finance, or some other area, but are hesitant to approach a consultant for the fear of high fee. This initiative by India Entrepreneurs Club (IEC) supported by MSME DI new Delhi is worth applauding, wherein an experienced professional commit 50 to 100  days of FREE mentorship to participating startups. This should result in startups being able to resolve their challenges."

Raj K Pathak, Chairman, Delhi NCR organizer of the event said, “Thriving entrepreneurs often cite mentoring as a critical component of their success. Research shows that entrepreneurs who reap the benefits of mentoring grow their businesses every year. At the workshop titled 'Mentoring Fuels Startup Success' India Entrepreneurs Club (IEC) supported by MSME- DI, Delhi, Govt of India,  brought together on single platform 20 mentors and 40 startups.  The USP of the event is a commitment by mentors who are otherwise experienced professionals in their respective domains but each of them agreed to commit 45 days to 100 days of mentorship to at least 2 participating startups for FREE. At IEC our continuous endeavor is to identify the gaps in the entrepreneurial eco-system and try to plug the same."
