India's leading climate-tech venture capital fund, Avaana Climate and Sustainability Fund, partnered with The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change to organize The Climate Conference 2024 in Mumbai. This event, the first-of-its-kind, brought together key stakeholders such as climate-focused leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers, investors, and ecosystem enablers to spotlight India's climate action initiatives and innovations with global significance.
The event served as an interactive platform for learning and engagement, underscoring the crucial need for collaborative efforts to address climate challenges. Through a series of expert-led sessions, the event facilitated insightful dialogues and solution-oriented discussions towards driving effective climate change solutions.
The event delved into key themes, such as "India’s Road to Net Zero", "Financing the Green Transition" and “Technology and innovation for climate action" offering valuable insights into India's journey toward achieving net-zero emissions. It aimed to deepen understanding of the associated challenges and opportunities. Eminent speakers featured in panels represented organizations such as Godrej Industries, MoEFCC, British High Commission, Tata Steel, with notable panelists including Ms. Leena Nandan, Mr. Amitabh Kant (G20 Sherpa), Shri K Rajaraman, Mr. Mike Hankey, Mr. Nadir Godrej, Mr. S Ramann, and other renowned industry experts.

During the talk Mr. Nadir Godrej recited a poem about how technology can help tackle climate issues and create a better future. The poem highlighted the exciting possibilities in improving power and the way we build things for a more sustainable world.
