India’s very own swadeshi maps app, MapmyIndia’s flagship Mappls App becomes India’s first navigation app to offer: AI-powered Live Traffic Signal Timers (in partnership with Bangalore Traffic Police and Arcadis), NHAI Annual Toll Pass Savings (in collaboration with the National Highways Authority of India) and Toll Road Distance Travelled. AI-Powered Live Traffic Signal Timers display during navigation In collaboration with Bangalore Traffic Police and Arcadis, MapmyIndia has integrated 125+ smart signals across Bengaluru into the app, enabling users to view live traffic signal status up to 500 meters in advance. Real-time signal countdowns (green, amber, red) are now visible on the navigation screen. In VAC (Vehicle Actuated Control) & Manual (operated by traffic police personnel) modes, commuters can also preview the upcoming signal status before reaching the junction. This innovation enables drivers to anticipate delays, reduce stress in heavy traffic, and improve ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) prediction accuracy.

This is the first time in India that live signal timers are being shown to the public within a navigation app — a milestone in traffic management and smart mobility. The company will soon rollout of live traffic signal integration across other cities.

NHAI Toll Pass Savings – Drive Smart, Save More In partnership with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), MapmyIndia has introduced a new feature that shows toll cost savings available under the NHAI Annual Toll Pass directly on the app’s direction page. Before starting a trip, users can now see how much they could save on toll charges using NHAI Annual Toll Pass. Helps drivers plan routes smarter, reducing overall travel costs.

Toll Road Distance Tracking Once you enter a toll road, the app now shows the total number of kilometers travelled on that toll road. Gives drivers clarity and transparency on toll road usage.
