MAAV Industries Ltd welcomed nearly 90 students from St. Joseph’s Vamanjoor to its Baikampady recycling facility as part of the school’s Industrial Visit programme, offering them a first-hand look into how plastic waste is transformed into durable, reusable products. The visit was designed to help students deepen their understanding of sustainability, circularity, and the real-world impact of responsible manufacturing.
During the session, the students were taken through MAAV’s complete recycling workflow; from the collection and segregation of plastic waste to shredding, processing, moulding, and the final production of high-strength components. The interactive walk-through helped the group observe each operational stage and understand how recycled materials re-enter the economy through robust, long-lasting products manufactured at the facility.
The visit comes at a time when MAAV Industries has increased its recycling output by at least 30 percent, driven by process upgrades and expanding capacity to handle a wider range of post-use plastics. This growth underscores the company’s commitment to advancing sustainability while supporting India’s broader circular economy goals.
Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Madhusudhan Agalpady – Founder & Managing Director, Maav Industries Ltd said, “Engaging with young minds is one of the most meaningful parts of our sustainability journey. When students see the recycling process up close, it not only builds awareness, it inspires future citizens to make responsible environmental choices. We are proud to contribute to their learning and hope to continue hosting such educational visits.”
MAAV Industries remains committed to community outreach and environmental education, ensuring that the next generation understands the importance of recycling and the role it plays in building a cleaner, more sustainable future. As the company expands its recycling capabilities, it also aims to deepen its engagement with schools and communities that are shaping the environmentally conscious citizens of tomorrow.
