IIM Jammu Concludes Immersion Programme For NIFTEM Students

The Indian Institute of Management Jammu organized the Valedictory Ceremony of the Immersion Programme for students at the National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM) on 23rd January 2026 at the Vedanta MDP Centre, IIM Jammu Campus. The programme aimed at providing industry-oriented managerial exposure and practical insights into business and leadership practices to NIFTEM students through structured academic sessions and institutional engagement at IIM Jammu. The valedictory ceremony was presided over by Prof. Sanjeev Pathak, Chairperson, Executive Education and Consultancy, IIM Jammu and Dr. Vikas Saxena, Professor Statistics and Operations Research, NIFTEM, Sonipat, Haryana. The valedictory ceremony was graced by Dr. Jaikamal, Program Director, IIM Jammu.

Dr. Vikas Saxena, Professor of Statistics and Operations Research, NIFTEM, Sonipat, Haryana, commended the program design, overall coordination, and hospitality, and expressed that he was fully satisfied with all aspects of the programme. He also appreciated the quality of food arrangements and the overall management and conveyed his desire to visit the Institute again whenever given an opportunity.

Prof. Sanjeev Pathak, Chairperson, Executive Education & Consultancy (EE&C), IIM Jammu, addressed the students and emphasized the importance of managerial thinking, adaptability, and continuous learning in today’s dynamic professional environment. He encouraged students to remain connected with the Institute by following official IIM Jammu social media handles and regularly sharing their success stories, thereby strengthening the engagement. Appreciating the students, he remarked that IIM Jammu closely observes the growth and achievements of its learners and encouraged them to keep sharing their feedback, success stories, and input, as these would help the Institute further strengthen and improve its training programmes. He further assured the students that IIM Jammu and its faculty members are always available to support them and urged them to reach out whenever they require any academic or professional assistance.

The valedictory session commenced with the welcome address, followed by the programme report presented by Dr. Jaikamal who highlighted the objectives, learning outcomes, and active participation of the students during the immersion programme. Participants also shared their reflections, expressing appreciation for the academic rigor, campus experience, and interactive learning environment at IIM Jammu. Shri Pardeep Saini, Programme Officer, Business Development, Executive Education and Consultancy, IIM Jammu, wished the students success in their future endeavours and remarked that they were a highly motivated group, very interactive and keen to learn throughout the programme. The valedictory ceremony witnessed the presence of Ms. Rupali Jamwal and Shri Anil Singh from Executive Education and Consultancy, IIM Jammu.

The ceremony also witnessed the distribution of certificates to the participants, recognizing their completion of the immersion programme. The event concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Jaikamal, Program Director, followed by the National Anthem. The training program was coordinated Executive Education & Consultancy (EE&C), IIM Jammu.

The programme stands as another step in IIM Jammu’s continuous efforts to strengthen academic collaborations and contribute to capacity building among students of premier institutions across the country.
