Highlighting on the dynamic growth and cultural richness of India's jewellery market, Mr. Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director of Informa Markets in India emphasised, “India, known as the ‘factory for the world’ in the jewellery segment, has the potential to lead globally. The domain, a mix of organized and unorganised sectors, is a central hub for jewellery manufacturing, supported by progressive government policies and initiatives that promote investment, technology, and skills. The recent measures, such as permitting 100% FDI in the sector and reducing customs duty on cut and polished diamonds and coloured gemstones, demonstrate this commitment.

“In this vibrant landscape, HJF 2024 along with its diverse features, stands out as a premier platform fostering meaningful connections and collaboration between manufacturers and buyers, paving the way for the future of India's jewellery industry.” He added.

An Engaging Platform

HJF 2024 will draw a diverse array of industry stakeholders, including suppliers, traders, machinery manufacturers, importers, exporters, national sourcing delegates, technology providers, and representatives from trade and governmental bodies worldwide.

 A Legacy of Excellence

The Gems and Jewellery industry is one of the largest sectors in India, significantly contributing to the economy. Statistically, it accounts for nearly 7% of the country’s total GDP and 15.71% of India's total merchandise exports. The recently announced India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor is proved to be a strategic and economic game-changer, much like the CEPA trade agreement which has boosted jewellery exports to the Middle East.

HJF 2024 builds on its legacy of bringing the best in jewellery from around the world to Hyderabad. This premier event is a must-attend for those within the industry, offering an opportunity to experience unparalleled innovation and creativity in a setting open only to the inner sanctum of the jewellery community.
