HerKey Hosts Open Ceiling Women’s Leadership Conclave 2024

HerKey, India’s leading career community for women, proudly announced the successful culmination of the Open Ceiling Women’s Leadership Conclave 2024 at Sheraton Grand Resort & Spa, Mahabalipuram in Chennai. The two-day event brought together over 100 women leaders from various industries to champion the cause of women’s leadership and empowerment. 

The Open Ceiling – Women’s Leadership Conclave is India’s only leadership retreat designed exclusively for women, offering a transformative experience through inspiring keynotes, engaging panel discussions, and interactive workshops. Esteemed women leaders shared their journeys, providing invaluable insights into leadership, resilience, and growth. The two-day retreat featured interactive sessions that fostered meaningful dialogues and introduced fresh perspectives. The unique combination enabled attendees with enhanced leadership tools, creating a dynamic space for professional growth and collective learning.

The keynote address was delivered by Simran, a celebrated para-athlete and gold medalist at the 2019 China Grand Prix and the 2022 World Para Athletics Grand Prix. Simran shared her extraordinary journey of resilience and determination, inspiring attendees to embrace challenges with courage. Speaking at HerKey’s Open Ceiling Women’s Leadership Conclave 2024, Simran Sharma said, “My journey as a para-athlete has been one of resilience, determination, and unwavering support. Every triumph, including winning the gold medal, has been a shared victory with my husband, who not only believed in my dreams but dreamt them alongside me. The conclave also featured an engaging fireside chat between HerKey's CEO & Founder, Neha Bagaria, and Geetha Ramamoorthi, VP and MD, of KBR, who shared her inspiring journey spanning 25 years. Reflecting on her career progression, Geetha Ramamoorthi remarked, "I didn’t have a clear roadmap for my career when I started 25 years ago. My father guided my early choices, steering me towards finance, but it’s been a journey of embracing challenges and stepping out of my comfort zone. Moving from finance to business leadership was a pivotal moment for me, requiring me to navigate unfamiliar terrain, lead seasoned engineers, and learn continuously. At every stage, I realised the importance of taking ownership of my career, asking for help when needed, and not shying away from tough conversations. Growth happens when we dare to step beyond boundaries and give our best shot." Her candid reflections resonated deeply with the audience, offering a powerful narrative on adaptability and personal leadership growth.
