GAIL (India) Limited’s City Gas Distribution entity in Patna formally kick-started the PNG Drive 2.0 at the GAIL Mother Station, Gardanibagh, under the National PNG Drive, marking a significant step towards expanding the use of clean and environment-friendly fuel in Bihar. The initiative was launched to further promote the adoption of Piped Natural Gas and strengthen public awareness about clean energy solutions across the state.
The programme was inaugurated in the presence of Honourable Shri Ranvir Nandan, Ex-MLC and President, Bihar State Board of Religious Trusts, Government of Bihar. The event was also graced by Shri Gajeevan Ji Badshah, Gurudwara Prabandhak, Shri Avinash Kumar Mantu, Ward Councillor, and Shri Manish Kumar, Assistant Director, Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board, whose presence added significance to the occasion.
The launch of PNG Drive 2.0 at the Gardanibagh Mother Station reflects GAIL CGD Patna’s continued commitment under the National PNG Drive to expand access to piped natural gas and encourage its adoption among households and institutions. The initiative reinforces the objective of creating greater awareness about the benefits of PNG as a safe, reliable and cleaner fuel, while supporting the broader national vision of promoting sustainable energy solutions in Bihar.
