In an age where screens dominate everyday life, a refreshing initiative seeks to remind families of a simpler, more tactile time. Back to Baalpan, a 90s-themed family carnival, invites children and parents to momentarily step away from digital distractions and rediscover the joys of India’s traditional childhood.

Conceptualized by Flammora and powered by the youth-led impact platform Ignisia, the two-day event will be held on August 23 and 24, 2025, at Mount Olympus School, Sector 47, Gurugram. Designed to encourage intergenerational bonding and revive community-led fun, the carnival promises an immersive experience anchored in play, storytelling, craft, and culture.

At its core, Back to Baalpan is a sensory-rich journey through the games and rituals that defined a generation—Gilli DandaPithoo, snakes & ladder, Kho-Kho, Hopscotch, and more. Aimed at reconnecting families with these forgotten joys, the event features over a dozen screen-free activity zones, interactive workshops, heritage-themed installations, and open play areas that emphasize connection over consumption.

From puppet shows and storytelling corners to DIY toy-making and unplugged musical nooks, every element of the carnival is designed to stir nostalgia among adults while offering today’s children a peek into a more grounded, imaginative way of growing up.

A Word from the Founder & Associate Partner

“Back to Baalpan is not just an event—it’s an emotional reset. It brings back the rhythm of life when joy wasn’t curated by screens but discovered in the simplicity of shared play, storytelling, and tradition.”

— Monieka Khanna, Founder – IGNISIA

“We’ve designed this experience to remind families that connection doesn’t require technology—it just needs time, intention, and a little bit of nostalgia. Back to Baalpan is that gentle reminder.”

— Neha Sarna, Associate Partner – IGNISIA

Ignisia has long focused on building experiences that blend learning with cultural relevance. The platform's cultural vertical, Flammora, curates events that go beyond entertainment—infusing them with legacy, learning, and deeper emotional engagement.

The entry ticket is priced at ₹799 for one child and one parent. If you’d like to be part of the experience, please make sure to register before 15th August 2025. You can do so by visiting their official website: www.ignisia.in/baalpan.
