The Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), in association with its associated partner HRANI, organised a landmark Stakeholders' Meet on 3rd May 2024 at the Radisson Collection Hotel & Spa, Srinagar. The event aimed to foster innovative partnerships, facilitate policy advocacy, and propel tourism development in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.

The event attracted key stakeholders from the tourism and hospitality industry. It served as a pivotal platform for initiating dialogue on employment, economic prosperity, and inclusive growth in Jammu & Kashmir. The event aimed to advance the region's tourism sector and explore collaborative opportunities for comprehensive growth. In a significant step towards fostering collaboration, FHRAI and Hoteliers Club Srinagar signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with a focus on policy advocacy, networking, and government liaison to drive tourism development in Jammu & Kashmir

Hospitality Excellence Acknowledged

A standout moment during the event was the presentation of the Hospitality Excellence Award by FHRAI to Mr Mushtaq Chaya, CMD of Mushtaq Group of Hotels and Chairman of the Hoteliers Club Srinagar. The award, given for Mr. Chaya's outstanding contributions to the hospitality sector in Jammu & Kashmir, was presented by the Chief Guest, Mr. Vikramjit Singh.

Mr. Pradeep Shetty, President of FHRAI said, “FHRAI is dedicated to advocating for the growth and development of the tourism industry in Jammu & Kashmir. Our upcoming Hospitality Investors Summit in J & K will provide an excellent platform for leading brands and hospitality entrepreneurs to explore investable projects and learn about the government’s investor-friendly policies. We also invite all stakeholders to participate in the 54th Annual Convention of FHRAI, where we will continue our discussions on promoting tourism and fostering partnerships in the hospitality sector."

The Chief Guest for the event was Mr Vikramjit Singh, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government of Jammu & Kashmir's Industries & Commerce Department. Other notable dignitaries included Mr Raja Yaqoob Farooq, Director of the Tourism Department, Govt of J & K, Mr Baldev Prakash, MD & CEO, J & K Bank, Mr Mohammed A. Shah, Director of the Dept of Handicrafts & Handlooms, Govt of J & K, and several esteemed figures from the hotel and tourism sectors.

The Stakeholders' Meet was a crucial step towards revitalising the tourism sector in Jammu & Kashmir, aiming to create new opportunities and partnerships that will drive sustainable growth and prosperity in the region.
