On World IVF Day, Ferty9 Fertility Centre marked a major leap in fertility care by unveiling the LensHooke X12 PRO, an AI-powered semen analyser, at a special event in Secunderabad. With this, it becomes the first IVF chain in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to implement the technology across all its centers, reinforcing its commitment to precision diagnostics and inclusive reproductive care.

The milestone was celebrated at Ferty9’s Secunderabad centre in the presence of popular actress Ms. Laya, whose appearance added a heartfelt note to the occasion. Couples who had successfully conceived and delivered through Ferty9 also joined the celebration, sharing powerful stories of resilience and renewed hope. A symbolic cake-cutting ceremony captured the spirit of the “TogetherinIVF” campaign.

The development comes at a time when India’s Total Fertility Rate (TFR) has declined to 1.9, below the replacement level of 2.1. In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the numbers are even lower at 1.7 and 1.8. The urgency for equitable fertility care, especially for male-factor infertility, has never been greater.

“High levels of DNA fragmentation are associated with 20 to 25% higher miscarriage rates, lower birth weights, and an increased risk of preterm birth. In unexplained recurrent pregnancy loss, up to 25 to 30% of men show elevated DFI,” said Dr. Jyothi C Budi, Medical Director, Ferty9. “With this advanced technology, we can analyse thousands of sperm cells in minutes, assess DNA integrity accurately, and make more informed treatment choices. This helps us select better-quality sperm, improve embryo development, and increase the likelihood of successful outcomes of fertility treatments.”

While poor sperm quality is a key factor in male infertility, traditional testing often overlooks DNA damage that lies beneath the surface. Even sperm that appear normal under a microscope may carry fragmented DNA, impacting fertilization and embryo viability. Manual testing methods also suffer from human error and limited scope.

Ferty9’s adoption of the AI-powered system bridges this critical diagnostic gap. The platform analyses over 3,000 sperm cells per sample in under six minutes, offering precise insights into count, motility, morphology, and DNA integrity. By identifying both single and double-strand DNA breaks, embryologist can select the most viable sperm for fertilization, reducing IVF failure rates and improving pregnancy outcomes.

“Male infertility contributes to nearly 50%of all cases, yet 95% of first consultations are initiated by women,” said Mr. Vinesh Gadhia, CEO and Executive Director, Ferty9 Fertility Centre. “That imbalance must change. With the introduction of the LensHooke X12 PRO, an advanced AI-based semen analyser, we’re creating a more inclusive and data-driven approach to fertility care. Technologies like this reduce unnecessary cycles, lower emotional and financial strain, and give couples real hope with real science behind it.”

As part of the TogetherinIVF campaign, Ferty9 is offering a limited-time Fertility Assessment Package exclusively for couples at ₹599, which includes a consultation with a fertility super specialist, ultrasound, AMH test, and semen analysis. Couples ready to start treatment can also avail 50% off on IUI and 25% off on IVF treatment until July 31, 2025.

With this rollout, Ferty9 reinforces its position as a leader in fertility care, committed to transforming outcomes through empathy, precision, and the power of AI.
