India Food Expo-2023 related to food processing industries is being organized by the Indian Industries Association (IIA) from 1 to 3 December 2023 in the courtyard of IIA Building, Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow.
The expo was inaugurated today on 01 December 2023 by Honorable Industries Minister Uttar Pradesh Nand Gopal Gupta (Nandi Ji) and Honorable Stamp and Registration Minister Ravindra Jaiswal. During the program, the Honorable Minister appreciated the India Food Expo organized by IIA and visited more than 100 stalls established in the exhibition and in the inauguration ceremony of the exhibition, the Industry Minister said that today the industrial environment in the state is much better than the situation before the year 2017. has improved. National President Neeraj Singhal in his address said that for the first time this year, 5 countries China, Vietnam, Uganda, Uzbekistan and Rwanda have set up stalls related to food processing industries in the India Food Expo, out of which Vietnam has come to the India Food Expo for the first time. He presented various industrial problems and suggestions before the Industries Minister, in which the main proposal was to change the industrial land from lease hold to free hold and problems related to market fees.
National General Secretary Alok Aggarwal said that in the 03-day exhibition, information about import export opportunities will be given in the one-day national seminar to be held on 02 December 2023, in which technical sessions will be given by high officials of Vietnamese Embassy Trade Office and other institutions. Appropriate advice will also be given to guide the participants and new opportunities will be highlighted for MSME entrepreneurs to set up food processing industries.
For the first time, a national seminar for prospective entrepreneurs will be provided at the India Food Expo to provide important information for starting a franchise business.
Chairman of IIA Food Processing Industry Committee and coordinator of India Food Expo, Deepak Bajaj, while conducting the program of the inauguration ceremony, informed Nand Gopal Gupta (Nandi) about the practical problems faced by the farmers of the state in selling their products to food processing industries and Said that although the state government has given exemption from market fee for purchasing their produce directly from the farmers, but the farmers and food processing industries of the state are not getting its benefit because if the farmer wants to sell his produce directly, then the market To get exemption from fee, it has been made mandatory for him to provide his land records. Deepak Bajaj urged the Industries Minister that since farmers do not want to give their land records and small farmers want to receive cash payment, both these conditions should be repealed.
On the inaugural occasion of the Food Expo, the vote of thanks on behalf of IIA was given by Senior Vice President Dinesh Goyal. On this occasion, IIA Treasurer Awadhesh Aggarwal, former President of IIA, various officials and more than 100 entrepreneurs were present.
