While virtually addressing the inauguration ceremony of Ericsson Antenna Manufacturing Facility in Manesar Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Minister of Communications; and Minister of Development of North Eastern Region, Government of India said “It is a great honour for me to be part of the inauguration of this facility, which is a landmark moment for us in India. It is a moment that heralds the arrival of the telecom manufacturing revolution in India. It's a moment that has its consonance and reverberation across the world, which speaks not only of India's great market but also of India's capability in producing world-class products for global use. So, let me take this opportunity to congratulate the team at both Ericsson and VVDN for truly being, in many ways, the gateway to India's announcement of a global telecom manufacturing hub.
Ericsson's efforts across many of their enterprises- whether it be their automation, their network API, their future-facing technologies, or the Global AI Accelerator set up in Bengaluru, which I believe is only one of three in the world have tremendously aided in terms of bringing India up the value curve as a huge contributor to the global value chain, which is an imperative for the hour.
Ericsson is also partnering in the telecom ecosystem with the Government of India through our 100 5G use case labs. The company is a very valuable partner in working with many enterprises, with IIT Madras, the Indian Institute of Quantum Communications. And Ericsson’s 'Educate' platform, I must note, has trained close to 10,000 students across the country. So, let me take this opportunity to congratulate the team at both VVDN and Ericsson for truly being, in many ways, the gateway to India's announcement of a global telecom manufacturing hub.”
