In a unique way to wish traders Happy Diwali, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has announced discount in electricity tariff to the city based traders for Diwali decorations.
JAIPUR: The move aims to make the shops more attractive. On the instructions given by the chief minister, the order has been issued by the state government in this regard.
According to the notification, the shopkeepers and traders applying for temporary connections for Diwali decorations will have to pay the commercial rate rather than 1.5 times the commercial rate which was charged earlier.
Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje said in a release that to see the decorations during Diwali in the city, not only domestic tourists come but also foreign tourists come in large numbers.
