Udyog Adhaar hold key Importance: MSME Ministry

The Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM) will be treated at par with EM I & II for all the schemes and programmes implemented by the Ministry of MSME, statutory bodies, PSUs and Training Institutes, said the government.

The Ministry of micro small and medium enterprises (MSME) has said in a notification, “..after the gazette notification dated 18.09.2015 for online filing of UAM, has replaced the filing of EM part – I/ II with GM-DIC.”

The notification stated that, “for all schemes/ programmes implemented by this Ministry, its attached & subordinate offices, statutory bodies, PSUs and Training Institutions, UAM shall be treated at par with EM-I/II wherever filing of EM was a prerequisite, eligibility, milestone or success indicator.”

The Ministry has sent the notification to all the field offices for strict compliance “without waiting for amendment in respective scheme guidelines that may happen in the due course.”

The MSME Ministry also clarified that the effective date for MSMEs to begin filing the UAM is September 18, 2015.
