Twitter could be implementing its own special "Stories" element.
Twitter's head of product Kayvon Beykpour reported Tuesday the web-based social networking giant had procured Chroma Labs, a seven-man startup established in 2018 by previous Instagram and Facebook representatives. Josh Barnett, designer of the Instagram's Boomerang video impacts application, numbers among them.
Chroma's application permits clients to alter pictures and recordings explicitly for sharing on Stories highlights found on Instagram, Snapchat, and the sky is the limit from there. CTO and fellow benefactor Alex Li was already a designing chief Instagram Stories.
The idea of "Stories" was first made mainstream by Snapchat in 2013, and permits clients to post pictures or recordings which just stay visible briefly, instead of the pictures presented for all time on your fundamental feed. In 2016 Instagram replicated the element, and Facebook's unique application stuck to this same pattern in 2017.
Twitter affirmed to TechCrunch this comprises a full obtaining instead of only an acqui-contract, and Chroma reported it was closing down its application. It will in any case work for clients who have just downloaded the application, yet won't get any updates.
