Rs 2002 Cr Disbursed As Loans to 56754 Entrepreneurs in UP’s Mega Sangam Online Loan Mela
The Uttar Pradesh government has disbursed loans to 56,754 entrepreneurs worth Rs 2,002 crore which is expected to provide an additional employment to more than two lakh people.
The entire loan was transferred in to the bank account in one instalment of the entrepreneurs during Mega Sangam Online Loan Mela here on Thursday which was inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The loan mela is aimed at hand-holding MSMEs by way of helping them to get loans from banks, get refunds from GST and get pending payments from government departments and PSUs.
Reportedly, the loan of Rs 2002 crore would ensure additional job to over 2 lakh people in the state. The loan mela will continue till May 20.
The UP CM also launched the Saathi portal of the MSME to start the single window for the entrepreneurs in the state.
Speaking on the occasion, Adityanath said that workers and labourers are the biggest strength and capital of Uttar Pradesh adding that ”now UP government was scaling the skill power of the migrant workers and they will be given jobs as per the skill.”
Adityanath also said that there will be special focus on the ODOP (one district-one product) scheme.
“There are immense opportunities in the ODOP sector. Many products have already established themselves as a brand within the country. Such units will benefit from this economic package as the products of these districts will now be recognised and strengthened,” he added.
”This will also help in giving maximum employment at the local level through minimum capital. This will also boost the per capita income of the state,” he stated, adding that by making the local the new global, India can become self-reliant,” he avowed.
