Quest Global announces the launch of its progressive CSR initiative to skill tribal & rural youth women for a sustainable future in association with Y4D Foundation. The program will provide skill-based training and job placement for 200 tribal and rural female youth from Belgaum and Trivandrum, focusing on training them as PCB assembly operators. a vital role in the electronics manufacturing industry.
The program addresses long-standing issues related to unemployment among India’s rural female youth through a comprehensive residential training program that strives for high placement rates. The curriculum, certified by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), is carefully curated to meet the latest industry demands by combining domain-specific instruction for the trainees as PCB Assembly Operators, along with training in soft skills, life skills, digital and financial literacy.
In addition to technical training, the program also offers post-placement support, coverage under apprentice law protections to ensure job security, workplace adaptability, and long-term career sustainability for the participants/trainees. The women also receive mentoring, financial literacy workshops, and regular check-ins with employers to ensure a smooth transition into the workforce. The apprentice law coverage provides these women with essential legal protections and ensures fair labor practices.

The initiative aligns with some of the key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including No Poverty (Goal 1), Zero Hunger (Goal 2), Quality Education (Goal 4), Gender Equality (Goal 5), and Decent Work and Economic Growth (Goal 8) and builds on the success of the program previously launched in Pune, where over 460 women were trained and placed in stable workplaces.
