Atal Incubation Center – Rambhau Mhalgi Prabhodini (AIC-RMP), a Business Incubator supported by AIM- NITI Aayog successfully completed a 3-day virtual Biz-Tech Bootcamp for AI, ML startups on August 1st. Curated in collaboration with MathWorks, the U.S.-based developer of software for scientists and engineers, the bootcamp was aimed at equipping young entrepreneurs with the fundamentals of business and technical tools to lead successful startups during challenging times.

"It was great to collaborate with different stakeholders from the startup Eco-system including other esteemed Incubators, Accelerators. Really glad that this first season of virtual Biz-Tech Bootcamp was well-received by the startup community & highly appreciated by all the participants, partners & resources. We could achieve the main objective of imparting technical as well as Business knowledge to the Founders & budding entrepreneurs through rich pool of AIC-RMP & MathWorks experts, mentors & professionals as looking forward to the next season," highlighted Uday Wankawala, CEO of AIC-RMP.

Biz-Tech Bootcamp conducted between 30 July-1 Aug 2020 saw over 25 registrations from 15 cities across 8 states. The bootcamp had startups participating from varied industries like EdTech, Energy, Automotive, MedTech, Agritech, CleanTech and SpaceTech. Participating startups were among pilot, market revenue, concept and go to market stages. The bootcamp also provided an opportunity for all the participants to network with other entrepreneurs at a time that lacks physical events.

Over the course of 3 days, participants attended both business and technical sessions gaining insights into technologies to design, simulate and build AI and ML based solutions. Startups also went through hands on sessions on customer discovery and business model Canvas by IIT-Madras faculty & seasoned entrepreneur resp. The event closed with a workshop on the art of storytelling to enable startups to pitch their technology solutions effectively.

“The ultimate goal of the bootcamp, one shared by both AIC-RMP and MathWorks, is to help startups develop products and reach early-stage milestones faster,” said Sunil Motwani, country manager – sales & service, MathWorks. “As startups help drive innovation and evolve industries, we’re excited to collaborate with them to explore how modeling and simulation can help them move faster from idea to working prototype.”
