New Delhi to Host 16th International Energy Forum

India will host the 16th International Energy Forum (IEF) Ministerial meeting on April 10-12 in New Delhi with China and South Korea as the co-hosts, Union Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan said.

Briefing the media about the mega event here Mr. Pradhan said this Ministerial event will be the largest in the history of IEF and will create a buzz in the International arena.

“For once all the target audience of Open Acreage Licensing Programme (OALP) will be at one platform in our own Country providing impetus to our plan to enhance domestic production involving global partners,” he said.

Stating that two major Oil and Gas consuming nations – China and South Korea were co-hosting this event Mr. Pradhan said, “Together we can influence the Oil and Gas producing countries to address our concerns and valid demands,”.

“This will mark a paradigm shift in bringing consumers interests to the core of the discussion,” he added.
