MSME Ministry Is Constructing New Technology Centre in Patna

The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) is in the process of constructing a new technology centre in Patna, Bihar.

In this regard, the Office of the Development Commissioner MSME (DCMSME) has invited bids under for the construction of works under the Technology Centre Systems Programme (TCSP).

The Government of India has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of Technology Centre Systems Programme (TCSP).

MoMSME has established 18 Technology Centres (TCs) earlier known as Tool Rooms (10 Nos) and Technology Development Centres (8 Nos) spread across the country.

The Technology Centres’ primary focus is to support industries particularly MSMEs in the country through access to advanced manufacturing technologies; and by skilling manpower by offering opportunities for technical skill development to the youth at varying levels ranging from school dropouts to graduate engineers and Providing technical and business advisory support to MSME entrepreneurs.

TCSP has an estimated cost of Rs 2200 crore with support in funds from the World Bank to the tune of USD 200 million.

Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding procedures agreed with the World Bank.

Bidders from India should be registered as a Civil Works Contractor with the Government of India, other State Governments or State/Central Government Undertakings.

Bidders from India, who are not registered as above, on the date of bidding, can also participate provided they get themselves registered by the time of contract signing, if they become successful bidders.

Bidding is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the World Bank’s Guidelines like Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers, January 2011.
