Narendra Modi Announced Economic Package of Rs. 20 Lakh Cr for Self-Dependent India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again came in front of the people of India and made few major announcements related to the COVID-19 Pandemic. one of the major announcement was the launch of special economic package of Rs 20 Lakh Crore for building Self Dependent India in the challenging times when economic revival has become equally important to the nation.

Narendra Modi Stressed Need for Self Dependent India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi re-narrated India’s strength in fighting COVID-19 pandemic. PM Modi acknowledged the pace of healthcare products manufacturing in India. “We have converted the challenging days into opportunity. I would like to take the exanple of PPE kits manufacturing. When the COVID pandemic started we didn’t had any manufacturing output for N95 Masks, and PPE kits but now we are producing 2 lakh PPE kits on daily basis.  This itself is a great achievement,” PM Narendra Modi mentioned.

PM Narendra Modi announced Special Self Dependent Economic Package of Rupees 20 Lakh Crore

PM Modi said, “I announce a special economic package today. This will play an important role in the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’. The announcements made by the govt over COVID, decisions of RBI and today’s package totals to Rs 20 Lakh Crores. This is 10% of India’s GDP.” This package is designed for reforms for MSMEs, Labours and even tiny industries.

In a world that is fighting life & death, India’s medicines today bring new hope. With these steps, when India is being praised everywhere in the world, every Indian feels proud.

In next few days, the detailing of this economic package will be explained through the finance ministry.

Prime Minister also urged the nation to buy local products and promote local manufacturing. “I am thankful to the people of India who responded to my request for promoting Khadi and the result is well known to us. Khadi became a successful brand.” PM Narendra Modi said.

Lockdown 4.0

PM Modi also announced the fourth phase of COVID Lockdown. He hinted that the details of this lockdown will be presented to the people of India by 18th May 2020.

He urged that fight with COVID will have to remain strong at the same time we have to work on bringing back the economic activity as well.
