Intuit's Vertical Run

More than 650 participants conquered 31 floors to complete Bangalore’s first-ever vertical tower run, the Skyscraper Dash, powered by Intuit. The runners braved 850 stairs on the Brigade Gateway Campus’s World Trade Center in an event modeled after tower runs in other parts of the world, such as the Run up the Empire State building in New York. The unique event held on Sunday supported Intuit’s employee engagement initiatives, with more than  100 Intuit employees and their families participating.

Intuit’s QuickBooks provides financial fitness to small and medium businesses. In addition, the company is recognized for its well-rounded employee engagement initiatives, which include a variety of health and wellness programs, such as promoting healthy living, providing a fitness activity incentive and offering onsite yoga classes. The Skyscraper Dash is another attempt by Intuit to provide health-related activities to its employees.

Speaking on the occasion, Nikhil Arora, vice president and managing director, Intuit India said, “Intuit has been deeply involved in providing a great workplace experience to its employees. This event embodies same values that we  embrace and champion at Intuit.  Everything we do is directed toward developing fitness, agility and focus for customers and small businesses everywhere, albeit from a financial perspective. We also believe that these traits can cut across personal lifestyles and working habits. When people cultivate them through healthy living and exercise, they carry over and positively impact other aspects of their lives. I am thankful to Bangalore for being so encouraging and showing up in such large numbers.”

Delighted with the first time experience of a vertical run, Intuit employee Prakash Kumar, Sr. Product Manager, Intuit India said, “What a fantastic beginning to a Sunday! It was challenging and took a lot of courage to get to the finish line but the end result was worth it. I ran alongside Bangaloreans who participated with great team spirit. I am proud that Intuit brought all of us together outside of our offices and reinforcing healthy living. Big thanks to Intuit and Sports365 for organizing the Skyscraper Dash.”
