Hyderabad Companies Helps the City Maintain its Place as Best City to Work

Time and again, Hyderabad has achieved the title of being the best city to live in, in India. From being ranked as the ‘The best Indian city to live in’ by ‘Mercer’s Quality of Living Ranking’ for five consecutive years (2015-19) to being ranked as the best city to live and work in India by ‘Holidify.com’ in 2020, Hyderabad has marched towards being the best place to work in, in India as well.

Even though work from home had some challenges for India, business still stabilized, and many companies expanded their operations. Hence, the city continued their road to success as various companies found themselves thriving here.

A recent report by the Government of Telangana shared that the service sector, which includes trade and repair, private software and IT, real estate, financial, transportation and incidental, contributed 60.3% share in the state’s GSDP, higher than the 54.3% contribution of the sector at the all-India level in 2020-21.

Here are achievements of homegrown and international companies based in Hyderabad that helps the city maintain its place as best city to work in.

  • AGI glaspac, India’s leading container glass bottle manufacturer, which is headquartered in Hyderabad, was bestowed with the ‘India’s Best Workplaces’ recognition by the Great Place to Work India.  The recognition acknowledges AGI glaspac’s commitment towards diversity and inclusion, where it conducted programs especially for women through initiatives such as POSH committee, POSH awareness session, HR policies in the Telangana state.

Across various sectors, the city of pearls witnessed an average growth of 20 per cent in hiring in September 2021 as compared with the same period last year.

The multiple collaborations of different global multinationals with many Indian companies have made it possible for Hyderabad to be in favour of the job market. An analysis by job site ‘Indeed’ has shown that despite the challenges like work from home, digitization, automation and lockdown, the city has proven itself to remain among the top three cities, along with Bangalore and Mumbai, among job seekers looking for work.
