Government cannot frame policies based on informal surveys, said Commerce & Industry Minister Nairmala Sitharaman commenting on Local Circles, a social media site.
“Local Circles is a social media site which keeps conducting informal surveys on various issues. Government policies cannot be framed on the basis of such informal surveys,” the Minister said in a written reply in Rajya Sabha.
Sitharaman said that the Government has identified regulatory reforms which aim at reducing inefficiencies and corruption as its top most priority.
She also said that the government has taken a number of steps to address the obstacles faced by start-ups.
The action plan released by the Prime Minister of India, includes few steps like - Simplification and Handholding; Funding support and Incentives; Industry-Academia Partnership and Incubation and more.
